Welcome back for another round of Medieval Monday - Fall 2018 edition. This hop will only last a short eight weeks with a snippet at every blog stop. There are prizes at the end for those who follow along each week, just be sure to leave comments at each :)
My first exchange is with the lovely Mary Morgan. She writes time travel novels set in Scotland. This is from Dragon Knight's Shield, book 4 in her Order of the Dragon Knights Series. Enjoy!
“Your quest is not finished, Dragon Knight. Seek out the Great Dragon. Remember the words of the Guardian.”
Angus grew weary of the conversation. “Ye mean curse.”
“It was never meant as a curse, only the path to redemption. Ye and your brothers twisted the meaning and then sadly, forgot the words. If ye so wish, I shall return tomorrow.”
Crossing his arms over his chest, Angus snorted. “And if I don’t wish ye to visit?”
“Och, then only one of us will be happy.”
Follow along and leave a comment for a chance to win a copy of this book. Next week Mary will be at Judith Sterling’s blog.
Angus MacKay, leader of the Dragon Knights, failed his brothers and his clan upon the death of his sister. Now he must fight the darkness of despair tempting his soul. Back on Scottish soil, he comes face to face with Deirdre who can wield a sword as mightily as his warriors, and takes her captive. Yet, with each passing day, the fire dragon inside him roars to claim the one woman fate has destined for him.
Famed mystery writer, Deirdre Flanagan, is unprepared for the next chapter in her life. On a vacation to Scotland, she steps through the mists and enters into a skirmish alongside a Highlander. However, the fight has only begun, and now she must battle Angus as well as evil in order to claim the love of this Dragon Knight.
Will their love be powerful enough to shield them from danger, or burn them to ashes?
